Mary Catherine McGovern                                                  

Mary Catherine McGovern will be remembered for the strong faith in her religious beliefs and for her very kind heart. Mary was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (1947) but was a resident of Croydon for the last 47 years. Mary was the loving mother of her 3 children: John, Gregory and Jeremy. She was blessed 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Mary was the only girl in her family and stayed close to her 3 brothers.

Mary was 74 years old. She began her eternal life on March 9, 2022. She worked as a waitress and bartender for over 45 years at many local hotel bars and lounges throughout her career. Her most recent establishment of employment was Leary's/ Patrick's Pub. .

Mary was a member of the Auxiliary to the Joseph A Schumacher VFW Post 1597. She began her service to the Post 1597 when it was the "Ladies Auxiliary".  She was also a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Divorced Club. Besides the Auxiliary to the Post 1597, she served her community as a school bus aide for Bristol Township School District for many years.
